We publish books written by young authors, not for them, by them. Use this form to send us your story. We'll edit it the way a careful friend would: only enough to keep the reader from getting stuck, and never enough to change your voice.

Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, the way your dadi says it. We don't iron out the way you write.

02  What you need

About twenty minutes.

Your story, a few questions, a clear photo (if you want one). A grown-up signs off at the end.

03  What happens next

An editor writes back.

Within a fortnight you'll hear from a real human. Small fixes happen automatically. Anything that changes the meaning, we ask first.

We need a name to publish under.

We use this to ask the right kind of questions later. Honestly.

Now the important bit.

Paste it, type it, dictate it to a grown-up. Write it exactly how you want it printed. We don't restructure sentences, we don't swap your words for "better" ones.

Even a working title is fine.

Your story needs at least 30 words.

So our typesetter doesn't "correct" them. Add as many as you like.

Bukmuk publishes children's work on public platforms (including Amazon), so the consent has to be specific.
